what is buccal massage?
Buccal (pronounced buckle) or intraoral massage.
This technique may seem a bit different, but can actually feel really good ~ especially if you’re prone to TMJ pain or find you are often tensing or clenching your jaw.
This technique helps target and work deeper on the facial and jaw muscles, melting away tension you may not even realise you were carrying. It can also aid in facial posture and alignment, lifting the eyebrows, smoothing out the nasolabial folds as well as stimulating the cheek areas.
There are two parts to this treatment - upper and lower. Nitrile gloves are always worn during this part of the treatment and changed between the two parts.
